“Words are pale shadows of forgotten names. As names have power, words have power. Words can light fires in the minds of men. Words can wring tears from the hardest hearts.”
Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind
What kind of world would we live in if, instead of grey, soulless classrooms where teachers
drone on mindlessly on subjects, we came in every day to a beautiful place filled with art, filled with nature, filled with stories and depth.
Would we stay the same people who escape daily into social media voids, or would we be the kind of people who take the time to really dig deep into the truths of the world, the truths of those in our community?
There is a game being played out around the world now, a game where we as a people are being used as pawns by corporations, turning us into fodder for their interests, while we slowly break down.
We need something to counteract this. We need beautiful schools, we need stories to be shared, we need something to make sure the next generation doesn’t succumb to all the crap online that is trying to turn them into mindless zombies.
We need to help each other wake up.
I highly recommend people check out the social dilemma documentary, and really start to do some research online as to how our brains are being hijacked. It is leading us down a path we will not easily pull back from unless we start to put our foot down now.
